Medication Policy

You may receive medication as part of your treatment plan as outlined by your physician. During the course of your treatment, your physician will authorize refills of these medications. When you are ready for a refill, please ask your pharmacy to fax a refill request to us at 530-897-4544, even if the medication indicates no refills are allowed. Please request refills at least one week in advance, if possible.

Due to new regulations by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, you may be required to come into the office to pick up an original handwritten prescription for your initial fill of narcotic pain medication. For refills of narcotic medications, please contact your pharmacy to request the refill. For refills of non-narcotic medications, please contact your pharmacy and let them know you need a refill. Our office participates in E-Prescribing, so an electronic message will be sent to our office from your pharmacy with your request. Please allow 72 hours for all refills.
